“Some summers are just destined to be pretty Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer — they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one wonderful and terrible summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.”
It starts out at the beginning of summer an takes place all summer. It shows Belly growing up during it experiencing love(or what she thinks is love),through the whole thing its talks about a lot with love and remembering a few things from the past summers with what she remembered.
ok so its kind of hard for me to explain about it and how much i like it (surprise?)

“Perfect Parker Fadley isn’t so perfect anymore. She’s quit the cheerleading squad, she’s dumped her perfect boyfriend, and she’s failing school. Her parents are on a constant suicide watch and her counselors think she’s playing games…but what they don’t know, the real reason for this whole mess, isn’t something she can say out loud. It isn’t even something she can say to herself. A horrible thing has happened and it just might be her fault. If she can just remove herself from everybody–be totally alone–then everything will be okay…The problem is, nobody will let her.”
Cracked Up to Be starts with Parker basically almost at rock bottom but wont tell the truth to anyone why she is acting like she is.Then she meets Jake.At first she didn’t want to even to talk to Jake because she didn’t want to be around people but after him pursuing her she gives in to then friendship that grows into a relationship.Through all of this she keeps remembering her past and what happened.
It will keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to see what happens but at the same time not wanting to finish because you fall in love with Parker.
